Sandy Springs Medical Research Company Moves To Alpharetta

Atlanta Institute of Medicine & Research has moved from Sandy Springs and will change its name to Institute for Advanced Medical Research.

The Atlanta Institute of Medicine & Research has moved its offices from Sandy Springs to Alpharetta. 

With the move, the company will change its name to the Institute for Advanced Medical Research, according to a press release. The Institute for Advanced Medical Research conducts neurological research, including studies in the area of depression, Alzheimer’s disease, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, adult and adolescent ADHD, Fibromyalgia and anxiety.

“We wanted our offices to be more convenient for people who want to participate in our research studies,” saidMedical Director Dr. Angelo Sambunaris. “The name selection better describes what we do. Not only do we conduct research but we also provide educational resources to those who need more information about these diseases.”

Founded in 1998 by Dr. Sambunaris, the Institute for Advanced Medical Research is a leading clinical research facility and is the only neuroscience facility of its kind in the area.

Dr. Sambunaris has more than 20 years of psychiatric clinical experience, including a fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health.
