Sandy Springs Named 18th Best Suburb in Georgia

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The city of Sandy Springs continues to gain accolades for its exceptional schools, quality of life and low crime rates.

Niche.com has released its 2016 Best Suburbs To Live in Georgia, and Sandy Springs ranks 18th on the list.

Niche uses data compiled by sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and other entities.

It also takes into account several factors when it considers adding cities to its list, including how local schools perform, crime rates, housing trends, employment rates and access to amenities.

Niche also reviews such as cost of living, the percentage of residents who have received a bachelor's degree or higher, job opportunities, commute times and nightlife.

Other metro Atlanta cities in the list include Duluth at 11, Peachtree Corners at 12, Dunwoody at 15, Woodstock at 19, Marietta at 24, Kennesaw at 21, Cumming at 33, Chamblee at 49 and Brookhaven at 40.
