Sandy Springs Officers Win Awards For DUI Arrests
Officers Leon Millholland and John Head won the Silver Pin and Gold Pin, respectively, at MADD's Golden Shield awards.
Two officers with the Sandy Springs Police Department have been recognized for their efforts to keep city streets safe from drunk drivers.
The officers were recognized at the annual Golden Shield Awards banquet, which was held at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.
Officer Leon Millholland was given the Silver Pin award for making 69 DUI arrests in 2013 while officer John Head was given the Gold Pin award for netting 127 DUI arrests last year.
Head also received a White DRE, or Drug Recognition Expert, Pin for having more than 26 lifetime DRE evaluations. Head currently has 39 and is one of only 42 officers in the to receive this award.
