The Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber of Commerce Now Accepting Applications for the CEO Roundtable

Business owners and leaders are invited to join a group of 12-15 others to share business issues and strategies in a confidential forum.

Many men and women in leadership positions agree with the old adage, “It’s lonely at the top”. Leaders face never-ending challenges and difficult decisions as they manage their businesses, often with no one to serve as a sounding board. A group of Sandy Springs-based executives have found it extremely valuable to meet regularly to confidentially discuss issues and opportunities through a program of the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber of Commerce, the CEO Roundtable. With the inaugural program halfway through its first year, the Chamber is now inviting applications for the 2015-2016 CEO Roundtable, which will begin in October.

“We’re looking to put together a group of about 12-15 non-competing business owners, decision makers and/or leaders of small to medium-sized businesses to meet monthly,” said Roxane Dimon, vice president/North Fulton market manager of Cornerstone Bank and chairperson of the Chamber’s CEO Roundtable program. “Over time, the group will become a trusted board of advisors for the members as they share best practices, find solutions to business issues and challenges and help meet business goals. All participants agree to adhere to a code of confidentiality so the Roundtable members can freely share information and concerns.”

“We had a tremendous response to our first CEO Roundtable,” said Tom Mahaffey, president of the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber of Commerce. “The members tell us they already have seen a positive impact on their businesses and are forming trusted bonds. I think there’s a pent-up demand for this type of peer to peer forum and relationship building, and the Chamber is pleased to offer the program.”
