Dunwoody police issued arrest warrants for Williams, 23, on charges he allegedly made terroristic threats to a security guard at Perimeter Mall.

Police were dispatched to the mall on Ashford-Dunwoody Road just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 7 where Williams allegedly ”threatened to shoot the victim in the face” with the purpose of terrorizing the guard, according to the arrest warrant.

Williams is charged with one count of terroristic threats. A search of DeKalb County jail records show Williams being held on a $10,000 bond.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Young Thug grew up in the Sylvan Hills area of southwest Atlanta and is best known for his single, “Stoner.” The newspaper also reports he’s a member of fellow rapper Gucci Mane’s record label, which is also based in Atlanta.

An indictment handed down last month by a Cobb County grand jury details Williams’ alleged involvement with gang members prosecutors believe were behind a shooting targeting fellow rapper Lil’ Wayne’s tour bus earlier this year.

The indictment alleges Young Thug, as well as Bryan Williams, known in the hip-hop industry as Birdman, and Lil’ Wayne are all Blood gang members. Additionally, Young Thug is also alleged to be a high-ranking member of Young Slim Life, a subset of the Bloods.

The indictment stipulates Lil’ Wayne and Birdman were once involved in a business dispute over a lawsuit filed by Lil’ Wayne, which sought the recovery of lost revenue and termination of his contract with Cash Money Records.

Lil’ Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, eventually dropped the lawsuit, but the tension between the two men continued. Young Thug subsequently sided with Birdman over the dispute, and allegedly threatened Lil’ Wayne’s life in a music video, the indictment outlines.

On April 26, Winfrey was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro alongside two of Lil’ Wayne’s tour buses on Interstate 285 in Cobb County when shots were fired upon the tour bus using .40 caliber and 9 mm handguns, the indictment states. The Camaro in question fled the scene of the shooting.

Winfrey allegedly hid the Camaro, but Cobb police were able to recover the vehicle from the garage of a relative, the indictment outlines.

He was arrested May 21 and subsequently indicted on aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, criminal damage to property, racketeering and criminal gang activity charges.

Young Thug or Birdman have not been charged or indicted in connection to the shooting.
