Two public safety agencies in Sandy Springs are collecting toys to help less fortunate children have a happy holiday season.

Sandy Springs Fire Rescue is collecting unwrapped toys for the North Perimeter Optimist Club’s Children’s Holiday Party.
Donations will be accepted until Dec. 9 at any of the city’s four fire stations:

- Fire Station No. 1, 1425 Spalding Drive
- Fire Station No. 2, 135 Johnson Ferry Road
- Fire Station No. 3, 6025 Raiders Drive
- Fire Station No. 4, 4697 Wieuca Road
Toys suitable for both boys and girls up to age 9 are needed for the drive.
For its part, the Sandy Springs Police Department is collecting toys for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, which will be distributed to patients at the hospital.
Residents can drop off donations through Dec. 17 at the agency’s headquarters, which are located at 7840 Roswell Road Suite 301.
