Detectives with the Sandy Springs Police Department are investigating a robbery that took place Friday afternoon at a banking institution.

The incident occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. July 24 at Wells Fargo, which is located at 5555 New Northside Drive.
Sgt. Forrest Bohannon, spokesperson with Sandy Springs police, said the suspect allegedly passed a note to the teller demanding money.

That suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5’4’’ tall and possibly weighs between 180 and 200 pounds. He was dressed in jeans, a dark long sleeved shirt and a blue ball cap.
An undetermined amount of cash was taken, and no weapon was displayed during the robbery, Bohannon stated.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
