Sandy Springs Police Investigating BP Store Robbery

A man walked into the convenience store at 6360 Roswell Road on Sept. 21 and took money from the store's cash register.

The Sandy Springs Police Department is asking the public to help them identify the suspect who robbed a convenience store last month.

The agency is investigating the robbery, which occurred around 8:09 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21 at the BP store at 6360 Roswell Road.

Surveillance video behind the counter in the store captured the suspect, who appears to be a black male, walking up to the register and preparing to pay for a drink. When the clerk opens the register, the suspect leaps onto the counter and struggles with the clerk to grab the money inside the register.

The clerk uses what that appears to be metal rod to fight the suspect, who eventually runs out of the store.
