Sandy Springs Police Roll Out Response Vehicle
The new vehicle is designed to respond to traffic situations along the city's secondary streets.
The city of Sandy Springs now has another tool to help them respond to citizens’ needs.
The Sandy Springs Response Vehicle is now in service and will be used to respond to ”traffic situations on the city’s secondary streets,” the police department said on its Facebook page.
It’s equipped with signage, air pump and numerous emergency road assistance gear such as barricades for emergency detours due to downed power lines or situations in which trees are toppled.

Members of the Sandy Springs Citizens on Patrol Program and a part-time officer will the man the vehicle. The four vehicle in its Citizens on Patrol unit, the SSRV was already in the police department’s fleet and was converted using seized drug funds.
