Sandy Springs Shuts Down Strip Club For Code Violations
Flasher's at 6420 Roswell Road was closed Monday following a raid conducted last week by Sandy Springs police.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A slew of code violations led the Sandy Springs Marshal's Office to close a strip club targeted in a raid last week by police officers.
Flasher's at 6420 Roswell Road was closed on Monday, Dec. 19 due to "numerous fire and life safety code violations," city spokesperson Sharon Kraun said.
"This is an older facility with no sprinkler system in place, and among the violations are serious electrical hazards, constituting an imminent threat to human life," she added in a statement.

According to the notice released by the city, Flasher's is accused of violating codes such as:
- not having signs indicating doors should be unlocked while operating;
- the rear door leading to the kitchen area being "too hard" to operate;
- not having signs that read "FIRE EXIT - DO NOT BLOCK" on the north exit doors;
- fire extinguishers that, while they had tags indicating they were serviced in September, showed they had not been cleaned, taken off their hooks or thoroughly inspected for some time;
- a fire extinguisher in the kitchen area "ready to fall from its mounting hook";
- excessive use of extension cords and multi-plug strips, and water leaks in close proximity to electrical hazards;
- several storage rooms containing "hazardous accumulations of combustible materials";
- damaged flooring materials that could cause a trip hazard;
- penetrations into walls or hallways that could allow a fire to spread rapidly;
- a Christmas tree in the foyer of the main entrance;
- loose and unstable wooden railing near an exit;
- "carelessly discarded" smoking materials; and
- uncovered ventilator fan.
The inspection was conducted Wednesday, Dec. 14 and Flasher's was among three adult entertainment establishments that were raided by Sandy Springs police.
