Donated right-of-way will impact potential points a project receives as part of the overall project scoring and ranking per the city’s approved Sidewalk Program Project Scoring guidelines.

Residents interested in improving the overall score and potential ranking of a project in their neighborhood are asked to contact the Public Works Customer Service representatives by calling 770-730-5600 and indicating that they would like information related to right-of-way donations for a scored sidewalk project.

Residents will need to have the name of the scored sidewalk program project from the city’s master list. The caller will also be asked for a point of contact, including telephone, email and physical address for those who are calling on behalf of a neighborhood group.

Customer service representatives will log the requests and forward to appropriate staff.

Sandy Springs staff will review submitted requests, following up with residents to confirm the specified project and address any questions.

A list of the property owners for the specific sidewalk project site and a right-of-way donation intent form will be forwarded to interested residents to be completed by each impacted property owner.

Donation statements are due back to the Public Works Department by Feb. 1, 2016, in order for the project to receive credit in this year’s scoring process.

Completed forms can be mailed to: Public Works – Sidewalks, City of Sandy Springs, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500, Sandy Springs, GA 30350.

Scores will be finalized and presented to Sandy Springs City Council in March 2016 for final approval.
