Sandy Springs Student Posts Threat To School On Snapchat: Report
The threat was believed not to be credible, but after the tragic Florida shooting, tensions are high.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A Sandy Springs middle school student is in custody and will be disciplined by school officials after posting a threat to the school, according to reports.
Students at Centennial High School in Roswell saw the message at first, believing it was directed towards them, CBS reported. The threat was then circulated on social media.
The threat, posted on Snapchat, depicted a gun and a warning not to show up to school Friday, according to CBS. Students, parents and school staff are on edge after the tragic school shooting that took place in Florida Wednesday.

Centennial High Principal Crumbley said school security would be increased Friday out of "an abundance of caution." She said they are constantly monitoring everything at the school to ensure safety.

CBS reported Fulton County schools spokesperson Donna Lowry says the student who allegedly posted the threat has been taken into custody and will face charges and disciplinary action from the school.
