Sandy Springs Veterans Day Tribute Scheduled For Nov. 10

Unites States Army veteran Hunter Hill will be this year's keynote speaker.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The city of Sandy Springs is inviting the community to attend its 8th Annual Veterans Day Tribute, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 10.

The program will get underway at 11:30 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial, which is located at the Concourse Corporate Campus adjacent to the Queen building (Building Five) at 5 Concourse Parkway.

Unites States Army veteran Hunter Hill will give this year’s keynote address. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Hill became a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Hill served three combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and was awarded several Army Commendation Medals, including two Bronze Stars.

Hill previously served as state senator representing the 6th District, which covers parts of Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Vinings and south Cobb.

Returning as emcee for the event is U.S. Army veteran, Sandy Springs resident and former WSB anchor John Pruitt.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Concourse Parking Deck Six.
