Sandy Springs Wants 2015 Humanitarian Award Nominations
The award honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be presented on Jan. 19, 2015.

The city of Sandy Springs is asking residents to submit nominations for its 2015 Humanitarian Award honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The award “recognizes an individual who embodies King’s history of character and service,” the city said on Monday. Nominees must live or work within the city of Sandy Springs to be eligible for nomination.
“We have many great people who do amazing things to help those less fortunate within our community,” sand Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul. “ The Humanitarian Award provides us with the opportunity to publicly recognize and thank these volunteers.”

The nomination form can be found on the city’s website. Nominations are due by noon on Friday, Dec. 5.
A volunteer committee will review all nominations and select the award recipient. Hugo Mullins, CEO and owner of Family Ties Inc., received the award in 2014.
