The city of Sandy Springs wants to make sure its residents are aware of the laws surrounding fair housing.

The Community Development Department next week will host a Citizens Guide To Fair Housing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 in The Flying Pig/Auditorium at Sandy Springs City Hall. Residents can access the auditorium through the Municipal Court entrance.

The workshop will address the definition of fair housing and what are residents’ rights when it comes to the topic. It will also go over who the Fair Housing Act protects, tenant/landlord responsibilities and reporting fair housing issues or concerns.

All residents of Sandy Springs are invited to attend the event. Sandy Springs City Hall is at 7840 Roswell Road.
