Science Tech Engineering Arts Math Celebrated In Sandy Springs
The annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Showcase is coming up this week for Sandy Springs students.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Students in Sandy Springs will display their Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, or STEAM, skills this week at the ninth annual STEAM Showcase. The event will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 at North Springs Charter High School, 7447 Roswell Rd NE.
This free event for adults and kids of all ages features dozens of cutting-edge, hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and math exhibits. Attendees have the chance to network with community, education, business and government leaders.
This year, there are 40 exhibits both new and long-time favorites, including:

- Create your own laser show
- Experience the Internet of Things with AT&T
- Explore automotive technology with Mercedes-Benz
- Discover robotics and try your hand at coding with State Farm
- Learn about the science of performance by engaging with actors from “Medieval Times”
- Investigate how puppets work with the Center for Puppetry Arts
This year, the event is once again a Program Partner with the Atlanta Science Festival. In addition, Sandy Springs public schools will showcase how they make use of Sandy Springs Education Force grants to enhance STEAM activities in their schools. It will be a technology and arts playground of interesting and unique opportunities for all ages.
