Sewer Line Cleaning Starts Aug. 20 In Sandy Springs

The project, which will not require lane closures, will take place along Roswell Road from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 20-24.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A company working on behalf of the Fulton County Department of Public Works will begin sanitary sewer line cleaning along Roswell Road in Sandy Springs early next week.

Woolpert, Inc. will kick off the project on Sunday, Aug. 20. Work will take place nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Here's what you can expect to see throughout the week at various intersections along Roswell Road:

Section one (starts Aug. 20)

  • This section runs between Hedden Road and Mystic Place.

Section two (starts Aug. 21)

  • Runs from Mystic Place to Long Island Drive.

Section three (starts Aug. 22)

  • Between Long Island Drive and Hardeman Road.

Section four (starts Aug. 23)

  • Situated between Hardeman Road and Elden Drive.

Section five (starts Aug. 24)

  • Begins at Elden Drive and Roswell Road and ends at Green Hill Road.

The projected project completion date is set for Aug. 24, and county staff will coordinate all activities with the city and the Georgia DOT to minimize impact on traffic.
