Shami Kitchen Opens In Sandy Springs
The fast-casual restaurant at 8363 Roswell Road serves fresh Mediterranean meals with in-house, made-from-scratch ingredients.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Shami Kitchen, a restaurant specializing in fresh, simple and authentic Mediterranean fare, is now open for Sandy Springs residents to savor and enjoy. Visitors can order at the fast-casual restaurant’s counter for quick service. From pita bread to pickles, all items on Shami Kitchen’s menu are made in-house, from scratch, and the restaurant is located just outside Atlanta at 8363 Roswell Road.
Highlights from the classic Mediterranean menu include beef or chicken shawarma, beef kifta, falafel, or fried chicken served on rice, lettuce, or wrapped in fresh pita. For those who like to bypass meat selections, there are plenty of vegetarian options, including the veggie feast — a mezze platter with hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, cole slaw, falafel, and pita. Other highlights from the menu include traditional Mediterranean items like lentil soup and Arabi salad with tomato, cucumber, and lettuce.
The word Shami translates to “native of Damascus,” which is true for both Shami Kitchen founder Abe Malla and Executive Chef Abud Halabi. Malla is also the founder and CEO of Westside Market, the popular Atlanta home furnishings store in West Midtown. He plans to open additional locations of Shami Kitchen in coming years.
