Sparkle Sandy Springs Lights Up Community With Art

The event featuring the creative handiwork of local schools and groups will be on display throughout December at Heritage Sandy Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A month-long holiday celebration of the talent of local artists, schools and businesses will kick off next week in Sandy Springs. This inaugural event, Sparkle Sandy Springs, will be held at the Heritage Sandy Springs Entertainment Lawn.

Local schools, artists and businesses received a 7-foot-tall wooden house to paint in a festive, whimsical theme. These houses and the surrounding lawn area will be decorated with lights, allowing visitors to casually stroll through each unique creation.

The display will be up through Dec. 31, and the event is free and open to the public. An opening celebration for Sparkle Sandy Springs will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, and will feature performances from choral groups, a fire pit, refreshments and other goodies.
