Sandy Springs, GA -- Celebrating more than 50 years of educating children, the oldest Montessori school in the southeast will host the first of two open houses this weekend in Sandy Springs.

Springmont will hold their events at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10 and 9 a.m. Jan. 28. Tours will also be conducted by appointment Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
Springmont, which serves children between 18 months and 14 years old, is located on 7 acres at 5750 Lake Forrest Drive in Sandy Springs and is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools, Inc. (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

At Springmont, lessons are experienced, not just taught. Its approach balances individualized learning with challenge and expectation. The environment also equips students with the communication, collaboration and leadership skills needed to be effective in the future, the school states.
