“This is an incredible honor for Springmont,” said Springmont Head of School Jerri King. ”To have our employees think so highly of this institution and to rate us among the top workplaces in the city is immense. Not only do we value what we do here every day, but we also value the culture we create in the lives of students. We build on our core values, especially that of mutual respect and a regard for all people at all levels, including the faculty and staff. Springmont has happy students because we have engaged employees.”
In this year’s ranking, 1,420 companies were invited to participate and 244 businesses were eventually surveyed.

Since its founding in 1963, Springmont School has shaped the futures of many of Atlanta’s school children by engaging their hands and minds in active learning and their hearts in the discovery of their world. Today, Springmont’s curriculum is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools™ (SACS) and is recognized by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).
Its elementary program boasts a 99 percent cumulative ITBS score. Thirty-one highly experienced teachers and assistants educate nearly 300 children from 18 months to 14 years each school day, which is not possible without highly involved faculty who love coming to work. The faculty has an average of 15 years teaching experience and 50 percent hold advanced degrees, which show the dedication to students, Springmont and their chosen field.
