The Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Department, in conjunction with High Country Outfitters and Yolo Surf Company, will host the Fourth Annual Stand Up for the Hooch Paddleboard Race & Festival this weekend.

The annual event will be held on Sunday, July 12 at Morgan Falls Overlook Park in Sandy Springs.
The event attracts world class competitors across the country, and introduces both advanced and beginner contestants to the calm, inviting waters of the Chattahoochee River.

With a perfect viewing stage from Morgan Falls Overlook Park, the event will be a highlight for many families and friends, organizers said.
The race will include various divisions from a six-mile course for elite paddlers to a two-mile race for beginners, age classes for men, women, and children and demonstration periods for non-racers throughout the day.
The Stand Up for the Hooch Paddleboard Race & Festival is a part of the SUP Splash Race Series.
Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The recreation race will start at 10 a.m. while the elite race gets underway at 10:30 a.m.
