Stars and Stripes Celebration Brings Fireworks To Sandy Springs

The skies above Sandy Springs will once again sparkle as the city hosts its third annual Stars and Stripes Celebration to honor our nation’s birthday.

The fireworks display will take place Sunday, July 5 above the Concourse Corporate Center lawn located at 5 Concourse Parkway. The community is invited to pack a picnic and enjoy the afternoon turned evening on the lawn, with fireworks beginning at 9:45 p.m.

“This event has quickly become a much-anticipated tradition,” said Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul. “As we look for ways to bring the community together, this annual light show draws in members from all around, culminating is a family-friendly and fun evening for all.”

Music from the band, Shiloh, will begin at 7:30 p.m. Starting at 9:45 p.m. fireworks will dazzle the skies.

The official viewing area will be located on the lawn at the Concourse Corporate Center. Complimentary parking will be available in Concourse Parking Decks 5 and 6 with parking for handicapped guests in Parking Deck 4. Parking at the Concourse will officially open at 6:30 p.m., and there is no admission fee.

Water stations will be located throughout the Concourse viewing lawn, and residents are encouraged to pack a snack and bring soft-sided balls, Frisbees and other kid- and crowd-friendly toys. Pets, tents, outdoor cooking and personal-use sparklers will not be permitted in the Concourse area.
