STEAM Showcase On March 15 In Sandy Springs

Sandy Springs Education Force's seventh annual event will be held at North Springs Charter High School.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The community is invited to learn about the fast-changing worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics at the seventh annual STEAM Showcase.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 15 at North Springs Charter High School.

Attendees can expect to see more than 40 interactive, hands-on exhibits from local luminaries in the STEAM fields, and exposes residents to related ongoing initiatives at Sandy Springs' 11 public schools.

You will also be able to network with community, education, business and government leaders.

This event is for adults and children of all ages. Some of the activities planned include:

  • collaborating with a team to find clues, solve puzzles and crack codes with Mastermind Escape Games;
  • experiencing a virtual reality desktop that interacts with 3D objects with Vizitech USA’s zSpace;
  • observing your own sub-cellular makeup with Georgia Tech Research Institute; and
  • learning how to win one of four Wacom devices to help you leverage technology to push your creativity to its limits.

The STEAM Showcase also provides a great opportunity to explore what job possibilities exist in these industries now and what’s likely to be hot in the future.
