Summer Theater Production Camps Introduce Students To Acting

Join us for a fun and engaging summer of theater!

All camp weeks will be led by a local theater director, who has directed dozens of productions, and assisted by a team of local theater students.

Participants will learn to be part of a theater team, learn basic fundamentals of theater and acting, and will perform a play on the final day of camp for parents, family, and friends. Costuming will be simple--things students already have in their closets.

Children need to bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks each day.

Session 3 - North Springs High School, 7447 Roswell Rd. Sandy Springs 30350

COST: Session 1 $85.00; Session 2 $125.00; Session 3 $250.00

SESSION 1 (Grades K-2): June 13-17, 2016 Monday-Friday 9:00-2:00

FEATURING AESOP'S FABLES - Stories with life lessons, like the Grasshopper and the Ants, The Two Donkeys, The Country Mouse and the City Mouse, and many others. This is an excellent introduction to drama, and each student will have the opportunity to collaborate to write and perform one or more of the time-honored fables.

SESSION 2 (Grades 2-8): June 20-24, 2016 Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00

THE DAY THE ROOSTER DIDN'T CROW - The noble, but vain, Reginald Rooster is the leader of the Republic of Fowladelphius. He and his loyal constituents are convinced that it is his crowing which causes the sun to rise every day. Enter Foxy Moxy, son of Foxy Woxy, who weasels his way into the barnyard to dispel the myth (and, yes, there's a weasel lurking in the shadows, too). 4:30 Friday, performance for family and friends.

SESSION 3 (Grades 3-8): July 11-22, 2016 Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00

ANNIE, JR. - This is a 2-week Musical Theater Camp and will give students the opportunity to explore singing and choreography in addition to the typical activities of a theater production camp. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Please note registering for only one week is not an option. The camp will culminate with a 4:00 musical performance on Friday for family and friends.
