UPDATE: Former Art Institute Student Charged With Making 'Columbine' Threat

UPDATE at 7:42 p.m.: Sandy Springs detectives have arrested Anthony Michael Kallio, 32, of Duluth, for making threats to The Art Institute of Atlanta by email.

Kallio was charged with terroristic threats and transported to the Alpharetta jail, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Ron Momon. Detectives are in the process of completing a search warrant for his home, Sgt. Momon stated.

Sandy Springs police have detained a person of interest in a threat emailed to the Art Institute of Atlanta.

A former student sent a threat via email to the school at 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Road and read “Columbine 2014 will go down today,” the agency said Tuesday afternoon.

“The school has been evacuated and is closed at this time,” said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Ron Momon.

The suspect has been identified and has been detained for questioning.
