Taxes Done Free at CAC this Week!

Walk-ins Welcome!

Tax Deadline is Almost Here! Do you still need help with preparing and filing your income taxes? The Community Assistance Center can help you get your taxes prepared and filed for free by the deadline this Wednesday, April 15! Walk-in service is available tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday!

Susan Culpepper of Sandy Springs is one of many trained and certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers at CAC helping hundreds of families and individuals get their tax forms prepared and filed for free, ensuring maximum refunds and proper filing with Uncle Sam!
“It’s been extremely rewarding,” said Mrs. Culpepper , a former math teacher and retired IT project manager who gives her time to help people with their taxes.

“Regardless of ethnic back ground or income level there is always something unique and different about each person’s tax return,” said Mrs. Culpepper about one of the things she enjoys about volunteering.

The service is available to any household in the Atlanta area earning less than $53,000 in 2014. Last year CAC prepared 350 tax returns for free; saving filers on preparation costs and ensuring taxes are filed correctly using all credits and deductions available to them! CAC is one of many VITA sites in metro Atlanta. VITA is national initiative of the IRS and the United Way.

Meet with our team of trained and certified VITA tax preparers this week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 pm-8 pm. Walk-ins accepted, appointments appreciated, 770-552-4889 ext. 260 or email vita@ourcac.org.
