Titles @ Twilight Return In August

Originally held during July, Heritage Sandy Springs will now host the event the first Tuesday of each month.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Heritage Sandy Springs has announced its plans to continue its newest educational program.

Originally presented as a brief, month-long series, Titles @ Twilight will now be held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The initiative promotes local authors whose stories of history and the South represent a variety of perspectives.

Titles @ Twilight resumes Tuesday, Aug. 2, with Kathleen Gegan who will speak on her writing relative to her visual art, music, dance and science.

Gegan is a fifth-generation Atlantan and has lived and worked in Norway, France, Spain, Portugal and Grenada. She was recently awarded an Artist-and-Composer-in-Residency at the Trykimuuseum in Tartu, Estonia. She is a creative leader, innovator, and visionary, and has won many awards the Fine Arts. She was also dubbed “The Renaissance Lady of the South” by a writer for the AJC.

Gegan also conceptualized, copyrighted and taught a course at Georgia State University’s Saturday School for Scholars and Leaders. She has also been invited to guest lecture at Georgia Tech’s College of Management and has given presentations of her work at Midtown Rotary and LaGrange College.

Titles @ Twilight is free to attend and will take place in the Garden Room at the Williams-Payne House, which is at 6075 Sandy Springs Circle.
