Tossed Out Treasures sells gently-used upscale items donated to organizers by members of the Society and the community at large. Organizers will collect donations at the store from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday until March 14.
Since 1992, Tossed Out Treasures has focused on reselling, reusing and repurposing designer clothing, high-end accessories, jewelry, antiques, books, household items, and more. At the end of the event, any unsold merchandise will be donated to area charities.

Last year Tossed Out Treasures netted over $85,000 which helped fund more than 25 non-profit organizations in the local community, through the Society’s philanthropic grants program. This year’s event will be chaired by Becky Jo Nickles.
“This is one of the most fun, and rewarding projects that I have worked on,” said Carol Anne Hendrix, president of Sandy Springs Society, who has worked on the event for over 8 years and says the Society always looks forward to orchestrating the enormous sale. “Each year our event grows and having no idea how many items or what kind we will receive, the show never fails to transform itself into one that we are proud to present to the public. The overwhelming response from the community and high quality of donated items is consistent and always draws huge interest from our shoppers.”
The event begins with a preview party, set for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 16, that is open to the public. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
For a minimal entry fee, collectors and shoppers can browse, enjoy refreshments and have first dibs on the thousands of treasures that await customers, the best often appearing in the silent auction on the evening of the preview event.
Admission to “Tossed Out Treasures” is free and open to the public on Friday and Saturday. For more information on hours for the preview party and the two-day shopping sessions, visit the event's website and Facebook page.
