Tossed Out Treasures Set For Feb. 23-24 In Sandy Springs

This annual fundraiser by The Sandy Springs Society will be held Friday and Saturday in space formerly occupied by Ray's Rio Bravo.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The highly-anticipated annual shopping spree organized by a local organization will return to Sandy Springs. Tossed Out Treasures will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24. This year's two-day sale will be held at a new location — the space formerly occupied by Ray's Rio Bravo at 6450 Powers Ferry Rd NW.

Tossed Out Treasures, The Sandy Springs Society's longest-running fundraiser, sells gently-used items donated by members of the organization and the community. Since 1992, the event has focused on reselling, reusing and repurposing designer clothing, high-end accessories, jewelry, antiques, books, household items, and more. At the end of the sale, any leftover merchandise will be donated to area charities.

“Our volunteer group works hard all year and 100 percent of funds raised from this event goes back to the community where there is need,” said Joan Plunkett, this year's chair of Tossed Out Treasures. “We are very proud of the overwhelming response from the community and the high quality of donated items always draws huge interest from our shoppers as everything is offered at unbelievable prices. This is an event that people from as far as North Carolina look forward to and we have had a line outside the door on opening day each year.”
