A tanker truck carrying the waste overturned and spilled its contents on the eastbound side of the interstate, which forced the closure of three lanes on I-285 and the S.R. 400 southbound exit ramp for hours Friday afternoon.
Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Forrest Bohannon said the truck also spilled some of its diesel fuel in the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were no life-threatening injuries, she added.
