UHY Advisors Consultants to Provide Clients with Advanced Project Management Skills and Services

UHY Advisors, Inc. is pleased to announce that four of its Atlanta team members – Chris Bean, Faten Elemam, James Phelps and Valerie Simone -- have achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification. The highly regarded certification is offered through the Project Management Institute (PMI), which sets the standards for project management.  The PMP certification validates professionals’ commitment and expertise through certifying a combination of education, experience and competency. 

“PMP certification is the most significant credential for project managers,” said Frank Fenello, managing director for UHY Advisors Southeast.  “The certification demonstrates the ability to lead and direct project teams.  These four team members have already been applying these skills to their work in the field, and now the certification confirms their high level of competence in project management.  I am thrilled these four team members are joining the ranks of our growing group of PMP certified professionals here in our office.” 

The four UHY Advisors professionals who have achieved PMP certification include:

·       Chris Bean, Senior Manager - Bean is part of UHY’s Management Consulting group and focuses on creating sustainable efficiency for his clients.  He brings more than 17 years of exceptional experience in management and professional consulting in the technology, manufacturing and performance improvement industries. 

·       Faten Elemam, Consultant - Elemam’s 28 years of experience spans all facets of finance, accounting and project consulting. She specializes in financial reporting, project management, budgeting and forecasting internal audit and process improvement. 

·       James Phelps, Consulting Manager -Phelps has more than 12 years of experience in management and professional consulting on complex manufacturing operations, sales optimization and supply chain management. His background in process improvement methodologies and strong technical knowledge has made him a strong asset to the UHY Management Consulting group.

·       Valerie Simone, Senior Manager – Simone brings to UHY more than 15 years of experience in management, performance improvement and professional consulting in the manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and wellness industries. Her focus is driving and sustaining improved operations for businesses around the country.

UHY also works in conjunction with Velociteach to offer PMP training classes for professionals throughout the industry.  The first session was held in April in Atlanta, and subsequent trainings are scheduled for Atlanta, Michigan, and Texas later this year.  UHY Principal Cindy Hannafey, CPA, PMP, leads the training in preparing business professionals for the PMP® exam.
