"Ultimate Flea Market" To Benefit Sandy Springs Organizations
The 24th annual Tossed Out Treasures shopping experience will be held March 27-28 at Marshall's Plaza.
Sandy Springs residents have just three more days before they’ll be able to explore what organizers are calling the city’s ”ultimate flea market.”
The 24th annual Tossed Out Treasures, hosted by the Sandy Springs Society, returns on Friday and Saturday at the former Marshall’s store, which is at 6337 Roswell Road.

Residnets can shop between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 27 and 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 28. The ”guilt-free shopping experience” will provide bargains on high end treasures including home décor, jewelry, silver, crystal, sports equipment, art, furniture, gently-used clothing, and much more, the society said in its press release.
For those who don’t want to wait and mingle with the masses, an exclusive preview will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 26. Shoppers will be the first to browse and buy while enjoying dinner, beer and wine and a silent auction.

Admission to Tossed Out Treasures is free and open to the public. Preview Party tickets, which are limited, are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. To purchase preview party tickets or for more information on the sale, visit the Sandy Springs Society website.
Treasures are donated by members of the 300-plus Sandy Spring Society and community at large, and raises up to $70,000 annually. The popular event has served the community for 24 years, with proceeds funding over 20 philanthropic organizations in the Sandy Springs community. This year’s event will be co-chaired by Ann Nable, Elizabeth Kelly, Barbara Groves, Kathryn Loia and advisor Joan Plunkett.
The Sandy Springs Society is a 501(c)3 charitable organization of women that was founded in March 1988 to support programs that improve the quality of life for city residents. Through its yearly grant process, the organization supports Heritage Sandy Springs and other nonprofits in the community that promote the arts, heritage, education, the environment and social services.
In its 26 years of existence, the organization has contributed over $2.8 million to the Sandy Springs community.
