A Sandy Springs elementary school will soon get a donation from a national company to create a sustainable garden.

UPS will donate $10,000 to the Friends of Woodland Elementary School during a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17.

The funds will help the school build a sustainable food garden. Along with donating the funds, UPS also says it will “commit to arranging volunteer support on an ongoing basis to help ensure the longevity of the garden.”
