UPDATE: Police Arrest Driver of Car in Fatal Accident
Wilfredo Santo-Serrano has been charged with felony hit and run and 1st degree vehicular homicide in the death of Malcolm C. Callender, II.

Sandy Springs police have arrested the driver of a vehicle that slammed into Mikael’s Car Wash and killed a person inside the business.
Police arrested Wilfredo Santo-Serrano early Sunday morning at an apartment complex “a short distance from the incident location,” said spokesperson Sgt. Ron Momon.

Santo-Serrano has been charged with felony hit and run and first degree vehicular homicide in the accident that killed 41-year-old Malcolm C. Callender, II of Jonesboro.

Sandy Springs police are investigating an accident in which a person was killed early Saturday evening when a vehicle slammed into a car wash.
A driver lost control of a vehicle and the car plowed into Mikael’s Car Wash at 6390 Roswell Road, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Ron Momon.
Momon said the injured person was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Momon also said the driver of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene following the fatal wreck.
The victim’s identification is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. Return to Patch for updates.
