Volunteer For a Better Sandy Springs Prepares For 13th Year of Service

Registration is now underway for the annual community-wide service day.

The best opportunity to give back to Sandy Springs through a community-wide service day will soon return for its 13th year.

Sponsored by Leadership Sandy Springs, Volunteer for a Better Sandy Springs Day will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants can choose between 20 worksites, including local nonprofit organizations, government establishments and public schools to help with improvements such as landscaping, painting, carpentry, organization and general clean-up projects.

Kickoff for the event, which will take place rain or shine, begins at North Springs Charter High School at 7447 Roswell Road.

Breakfast will be provided to registered participants, and Mayor Rusty Paul will inspire and personally thank volunteers at the kickoff event.

The first 500 participants will receive a free VBSS Day T-shirt. Following the kickoff, volunteers will disperse to the work sites.

Registration is now underway, and volunteers can sign up using the online form on the LSS website. Membership in LSS is not a requirement for participation.
