Motorists can utilize one northbound and one southbound lane for travel. However, GDOT said the weather will impact the speed of repairs.
UPDATED at 1:06 p.m. SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Georgia Department of Transportation continue to make repairs to a sinkhole following a water main break that shut down a stretch of Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
The break occurred under Roswell Road/S.R. 9 between Northridge Parkway and Hightower Trail, and has since been repaired by the city of Atlanta's Department of Watershed Management.

To speed up repairs, crews will now use an additional lane for work, which will result in motorists being able to use one northbound and one southbound lane for travel on Roswell Road. A second northbound lane will open by 2 p.m. Thursday to accommodate the afternoon rush hour, the agency added.
Before repairs, crews are in the midst of excavating the area to make sure "all unsound areas are removed prior to reconstruction."
