What's Open, Closed in Sandy Springs on MLK Day 2015?

City and county offices, schools and other services are affected by the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 19.

GOVERNMENT

Sandy Springs city offices and Fulton County offices will be closed Jan. 19 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. However, the city of Sandy Springs on Monday will hold its annual MLK Day celebration at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Sandy Springs City Hall (7840 Roswell Road).

Police, fire and other services essential for public safety will remain open. City and county offices will resume regular hours Tuesday, Jan. 20.

SCHOOLS

Classes are cancelled and offices will be closed throughout the Fulton County School System, but will resume normal hours of operation Jan. 20.

POSTAL SERVICE

Mail service from the United States Postal Service will not run on Monday, but will resume deliveries and collections Jan. 20.

LIBRARIES

Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System branches will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 19. They will reopen for normal hours Jan. 20.
