What's Open, Closed Thanksgiving Week In North Fulton
State, county and city government offices, the post office, schools and others will be taking a break during the holiday week

NORTH FULTON COUNTY, GA -- Most government offices and lots of businesses will be closing this week in Cherokee County as we observe Thanksgiving.
Here's a rundown of what's open and what's closed in Bartow for Thanksgiving 2017:
- All Fulton County government offices, except law enforcement and others required for citizen comfort and safety, will be closed Thursday and Friday. County offices will resume normal operations on Monday.
- Fulton County Schools are on holiday Monday through Friday.
- Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System branches will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- Georgia state offices, including driver's services, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed Thursday.
- City offices, including Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell and Sandy Springs, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- For Roswell residents, garbage and recycling collection will be held as usual for Thursday
customers. Yard waste collection moved to Friday, Nov. 24 for Thursday customers. For those serviced on Friday, garbage and recycling collection moved to Monday, Nov. 27. Yard waste collection as usual for Friday customers. - Garbage collection for Alpharetta customers will be delayed by one day (Thursday customers moved to Friday; Friday customers pushed back to Saturday).
- Residents in Johns Creek, Milton and Sandy Springs are asked to check with their respective residential waste collection providers for their holiday pick-up schedules.
