Youth Leadership Sandy Springs Inducts 9 Riverwood Students

Nine Riverwood students joined the Youth Leadership Sandy Springs program to enhance and enrich their understanding of the city.

From Riverwood International: In August, nine Riverwood International Charter School students were inducted to the 2017-18 Youth Leadership Sandy Springs (YLSS) class. Congratulations to Lizzie Frederick, Jessica Keen, Jaren Linowes, Hayes Miller, Ricardo Ruiz, Julia Sibert, Alisa Steele, Spencer Vise, and Charles Woodman for being selected. They join 26 other Sandy Springs area high school students in the year-long program designed to enhance and enrich their understanding of city. Throughout the year, they will examine the environment, city government, non-profits, law enforcement, as well as business and public safety. Launched by Leadership Sandy Springs in 2011, YLSS is based on Leadership Sandy Springs’ successful 30-year- old program developing community leaders. Riverwood has been well-represented in each of the seven YLSS classes.
