Zoning Code Update Open House Set For May 15

The city of Sandy Springs' open house continues the dialogue it started with the community as part of its Next 10 process.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- As part of the process to update its Comprehensive Land Use plan and related development codes, the city of Sandy Springs will host an open house next week to give you an opportunity provide feedback.

The upcoming open house will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, May 15 in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

The open house is a continuation of the dialogue the city kicked off with the community related to updating the city’s zoning codes to match the Next Ten Comprehensive Land Use plan that was approved this spring.

During meetings held in March, the city presented the draft map which converts zoning currently in place to new zoning terminology in line with the Next Ten plan. Comments resulting from the March meetings were reviewed, with updates to the map included as part of the May Open House. In addition, the city will present the code chapters on development regulations, street design and natural resource protection.

Additional public hearings on the proposed development code will take place this summer.
