Salvation Army responds after Center of Hope plans denied (wsav.com) — Savannah's Housing Authority has rejected the Salvation Army's request to keep pursuing a new Center of Hope on Augusta Avenue, sending the nonprofit back to the drawing board for a location. Leaders say they'll keep operating from Montgomery Street while searching for another site, emphasizing continued services for residents in Savannah, Chatham County, and surrounding counties.
