• Gretchen Schafer Scott, 86 (newcanaanite.com) — A longtime resident who retired to The Landings on Skidaway Island in 1997 has passed away at age 86, with a memorial reception planned in Savannah. Her obituary recalls a life centered on family, community service, and travel across several states and abroad, while noting that interment will take place in Indianapolis in summer 2027.
