Most local spots earned scores in the 90s or high 80s, but a few dipped into the 70s, giving diners a timely snapshot of kitchen cleanliness before they choose where to eat this week.
• Smyrna road rage investigation closed after police name suspect (fox5atlanta.com) — Smyrna police say they've closed their investigation into a late-June road rage assault that left a local driver pistol-whipped, after obtaining a felony aggravated battery warrant for a named suspect. The incident began as a traffic dispute while two vehicles traveled through Smyrna, and another driver has already been charged with obstruction. Authorities haven't yet said whether the suspect is in custody.
• 47 New Cobb County Businesses Include Restaurants and Retail (cobbcountycourier.com) — Cobb County just licensed 47 new businesses, ranging from restaurants and coffee shops to fitness studios and construction firms, and at least one lists a Smyrna mailing address. While these are technically for unincorporated Cobb, they signal new dining, service, and job options just beyond Smyrna's borders.
