Hong Kong City in Smyrna receives a 54% on their recent health inspection (thegeorgiagazette.com) — A recent state health inspection gave Hong Kong City on South Cobb Drive in Smyrna a failing score of 54, citing issues from handwashing and uncovered foods to roaches in the kitchen. Several problems were corrected on-site, but others require a follow-up within seven days, so diners may want to watch for an updated score.

Georgia mail carrier stole more than $1M in checks, feds say (savannahnow.com) — Residents in the Smyrna area are learning that a former mail carrier has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for stealing more than $1 million in checks and gift cards from her local route.
