Aunties House in Smyrna receives a 56% on their recent health inspection (thegeorgiagazette.com) — Aunties House on South Cobb Drive in Smyrna recently received a 56 on its Aug. 18 health inspection, triggering a required reinspection within 10 days. Violations ranged from improper food storage and cold-holding temperatures to an inoperative dish machine sanitizer and unlabeled ingredients, though some issues were corrected on-site during the visit.
2. Smyrna restaurant fails inspection with a score of 56 (thegeorgiasun.com) — Health inspectors recently gave a Smyrna restaurant on South Cobb Drive a failing score of 56 after finding unsafe food temperatures, cross‑contamination risks, labeling issues, and a dish machine that wasn't sanitizing. Staff discarded problem foods, rearranged raw items, cleaned equipment, and switched to a three‑compartment sink, but must post the manager's certificate and repair the washer before a follow‑up inspection.
3. Amazon fraud, e-commerce scam, Amazon refund scheme, retail fraud case, million dollar fraud (hypefresh.com) — A massive fraud scheme run through Amazon's Smyrna warehouse has ended with two Atlanta women serving more than 16 years in federal prison and forfeiting a nearly $1 million Smyrna home and luxury cars. Prosecutors say they used fake vendors and invoices to siphon about $9.4 million from Amazon in just six months, then tried to launch another scam while out on bond before being caught and sentenced.
4. She Defrauded Amazon of $9.4 Million and Forged a Federal Judge's Signature. Now She Faces 16 Years in Prison (inc.com) — A Georgia woman has been sentenced to more than 16 years in federal prison for a multimillion‑dollar fraud that involved an Amazon warehouse in Smyrna. Prosecutors say she and her partner used fake vendors and invoices to steal nearly $10 million, then forged a federal judge's signature while trying to keep a franchising deal alive after their arrest.
