• Health inspection scores for Cobb County restaurants and other food services from September 4 to September 10 (cobbcountycourier.com) — Several Smyrna spots, including South City Kitchen Vinings, local Waffle House and Wendy's locations, and Green Acres Elementary, all received recent health inspection scores ranging from low 90s to a perfect 100. The full Cobb County list lets you quickly check how your favorite nearby restaurants, Truist Park vendors, and school cafeterias performed between September 4 and 10.
• Smyrna adviser sentenced for stealing $10M from elderly client (fox5atlanta.com) — A former Smyrna financial adviser has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison for stealing nearly $10 million from an elderly client, money used for a Vinings mansion, a luxury club membership, and personal expenses. Prosecutors say he abused his fiduciary role over several years, moving funds through unauthorized accounts and an estate, and a separate hearing will determine how much restitution he must repay.
