• Georgia PSC approves $1.2 million in heating assistance (nowgeorgia.com) — Low-income Smyrna residents who use natural gas through the Atlanta Gas Light system could benefit from a new $1.2 million assistance package just approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission. The funds will support HEAT's emergency program from 2027–2029, helping thousands of households avoid disconnection, with an online application system planned before the end of 2026.
