2 Charged With Murder In Fatal Snellville Shooting

A 19-year-old man was found shot to death in a car following a crash in Snellville, police say.

SNELLVILLE, GA — Police say they have arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a 19-year-old Loganville man earlier this month in Snellville.

Gwinnett County Police on Wednesday said they arrested Michael Coker, of Loganville, and Glenn Fitzpatrick, of Winder, in connection with the March 13 shooting death of Taveus Threatt Jr.

Officers responded around 10 p.m. to the 2900 block of Spruce Circle after a 911 caller reported a person had crashed into his car, police said. They added the caller said the driver was unconscious.

When they arrived, police said officers found Threatt dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The circumstances that led to his death were not released.

Both Fitzpatrick and Coker were arrested on charges of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said. They are being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Jail.
