Accused Snellville Walmart Shooter in Custody

SNELLVILLE, GA -- A Florida man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend outside a Walmart in Snellville has turned himself in, police say.

Snellville Police on Tuesday announced that Darrell Costallo Hale, of Gainesville, Florida, was being held without bond at Gwinnett County Jail.

He faces a charge of aggravated assault after turning himself in Monday night.

A woman was shot outside Walmart on Scenic Highway in Snellville Saturday morning. The woman was reportedly shot in the arm by a man who came up to her when she was about to enter the store.

The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The woman has been released from the hospital.
